Payc partners with an official Employer of Record that is the leagl employer of all staff provided via the payc software. The Employer of Record may need to complete additional pre-employment checks based on the role - for example:

  • Visa checks to ensure the information submitted about a visa is correct and valid
  • RSA and RSG/RCG for Hospitality roles serving alcohol and/or gaming
  • Fit for duty medical assessment checks if anything submitted is required to be looked ingo further

Payc and our partners does not conduct the following pre-employment checks:

  • Drug and/or alcohol test
  • Police Check
  • Medical checks (apart from the Fity for Duty Assessment questionnaire)
  • Venue partner specific pre-induction or training that staff need to attend before starting their first shift

If your business requires any of the above pre-employment checks, you will need to carry them out directly with the staff member before the employee begins their first payc shift.
